When and where you could see flying tanks?

During the second world war USSR was organizing project which attempted to create a flying machine on the bases of tank A-40. During the testing stage the tank was towed by the plane TB-3 and was supposed to go to the heigh of 40 meters. It was considered that after the dispatch the tank would fly to the enemies zone, remove the wings and continue the fight. The project was closed due to lack of strong towing machines.
